la bloguere?

Bonjour toute le monde! (that's about everything I know in French)

So I am officially in France with the intent of completing an internship. I arrived here Thursday morning, which for a lot of you might have been Wednesday night. I am currently living in a really nice apartment in St. Germain En Laye, which is right outside the Western part of Paris. In case you didn't know, I have a thing for the western part of things. Anyway, I am staying here with the sister of my mom's best friend from first grade's daughter. Say that three times fast. She is a few years older than me, and has a ton of traveling experience. She is also the nicest person I've ever met. Anyway, I'll be staying here for another day or so, and then I'll be living with the daughter OF my mom's best friend from first grade, and then on Wednesday I should be settling into my own Parisian flat.

Thus far, my experience here has been much like a dream. A very wonderful beautiful scenic dream. You see this place in pictures and you hear about it, but nothing really does it justice. You have to see it with your own eyes to understand. Now, I might be speaking prematurely seeing as how I only saw a part of Paris yesterday, because the girl I am staying with and I went out for her friend's 30th birthday. There is something about this place though. Even just St. Germain En Laye, there is something so serene and sacred that I couldn't put into words even if I wanted to. Sometimes, I think this place might have just been built as a historic amusement park. I am yet to walk into a large supermarket or a store bigger than the masterbedroom back in San Diego. Though, there might be a little bit of an exaggeration in what I'm saying, trust and believe that this exaggeration is slight and coming from a childlike pleasantly surprised place.

I have much much more to say, but I have to go and get ready, but this will definitely continue on.
